In an effort to improve the quality of services that we offer our clients, the technical team at Plastilene and Altalene (which focuses on testing of new formulas) decided to focus on a crucial topic: PCR resins, known in our portfolio as Ciclolene®.
Before this training there were questions regarding the origin, properties, and performance of these resins. But beyond the technical interest, there was the curiosity of how these resins can become real solutions for our clients’ needs: more sustainable packaging, backed by science, and with unique practical applications for different industries.
With this goal in mind, the technical team at Reciclene, led by Jorge Cabrera showcased the complete Ciclolene ® resins portfolio. They explained how clear and polycolor materials, and mineral compounds like Ciclolene ® Pus are designed to be more demanding.
Engineers and specialists exchanged ideas about the advantages of each material, compared properties, and visualized the concrete applications for clients’ products.
The conversation was focused on innovation within the group, and how these resins help allies and clients to move forward with their sustainability targets by using certified recycled materials and lowering the carbon footprint of their packaging.
The value of Ciclolene® for clients goes beyond it being a recycled material. It is a portfolio designed to accompany them in meeting environmental legislation, setting their brand apart in more demanding markets, and prove with data and certifications, a real commitment to sustainability.
With Ciclolene ®, our clients can transform an environmental challenge into an opportunity for innovation and becoming more competitive.
This training session is part of a continuous process of learning and connecting between areas in the company. It started with Soacha’s Sustainable Innovation Fair (June, 2024), then with technical panels, and will have two additional parts: a session with the commercial team to align their technical knowledge with the markets’ needs, and a second innovation fair at Reciclene. This last one will have technical, commercial, and operating teams coming together and getting to know our Ciclolene ® resins and all the products manufactured with them.
Deep down, our purpose is clear: that all of our team understands in greater detail where our PCR resins come from, what their use is, and how they become part of solutions for our customers.
When knowledge is shared and connects with people, innovation is translated into sustainable value for our industry and the planet.
