Grupo Plastilene strengthen their regional presence at Congreso Asoleche and Fepale 2026

From the 8th to the 10th of July, Medellín hosted the 12th International Congress of the Dairy Industry and the 18th Panamerican Milk Congress, organized by Asoleche and Fepale. The event brought together producers, industry, academia, public institutions, international organizations and companies that push the dairy industry’s supply chain forward.

Grupo Plastilene’s goal in participating was to strengthen the positioning in the region, present their specialized portfolio for the dairy industry, and create opportunities to relate to clients and strategic actors from different countries.

“We achieved 100% of our goal” said Marlon Ordóñez, Plastilene’s commercial manager, when weighing out the organization’s participation in the Congresses.

During the event, the team presented solutions for different applications in the dairy industry, amongst them were UHT packaging, sustainable labels, bases, foamed separators, bales with PCR content, six pack bags, and trilaminated substrates for powdered milk, amongst other developments designed to respond to protect and increase efficiency and circularity within the industry.

One of the most important aspects that visitors gravitated towards was the scope of the portfolio. More than a specific solution, those who came to the stand found a group with a regional presence, technical knowledge, and the capacity to work together at different points of the supply chain. This perception was key, especially for markets that start to call more attention, such as Paraguay, Venezuela, and Bolivia, where they identified opportunities to explore new commercial conversations.

The event also led to high value meetings. Amongst them, the visit of the director of the Mexican Dairy Association. This meeting reaffirms the value of participating in spaces where the key decision makers and leaders that set the pace of the industry are present.

Amongst the solutions that garnered more attention were the foamed food separator, the recyclable labels, developed with washable inks and PET, and secondary packaging with PCR content. Both products proved how we can move forward with solutions that support the performance, efficiency, and improve the chance of recycling after its use.

The participation at Asoleche and Fepale 2026 also acknowledged the importance of the event such as the knowledge platform. The academic proposal, exhibitor’s quality and the joint effort between Asoleche and Fepale gave them an international character that brought several current and potential customers. The congress’ agenda reviewed topics such as international commerce, competition, innovation, health and nutrition, sustainability and artificial intelligence applied to the dairy supply chain.

The Group’s participation in congress reaffirmed us that to arrive at an event like this with a solid portfolio, a visible regional presence, and a prepared team to talk over criteria, becomes a space for us to strengthen trust, open markets, and make the role that packaging has on the evolution of the dairy industry visible.
