Sustainability is not a static result. For us it also means measuring, documenting what we do, identifying gaps, and finding new opportunities to continue moving forward.
That’s why we wanted to share that Plastilene SAS received the EcoVadis Committed Badge, an award that recognizes our performance against their sustainability evaluation methodology.
EcoVadis is a platform that has been increasingly used by organizations globally to get to know and evaluate the sustainability performance of their suppliers. Our first experience with this evaluation came from one of our customer’s requests and. With time it has also become an opportunity to review our management in a holistic way and see in what areas we are farther ahead and which ones we must continue working on.
The evaluation process takes into account four key areas: environment, working environment and human rights, ethics, and sustainable purchasing.
In our most recent evaluation, published in August, 2026, we reached a global score of 64 over 100. Our best results were in the working environment and human rights, as well as sustainable purchasing, with 68 points in each category.
This is not the first time that we’ve been involved in an EcoVadis evaluation. We have already gone through it several times, and each time we have improved our results.
Behind this evolution is the work that we’ve done from our sustainability strategy. However, this process has also allowed us to understand that it is not enough to implement actions: it is fundamental to establish goals, document advances, and have clear records of our efforts.
One of our main challenges has been precisely that: making sure that the work done in our different areas is more and more articulated, aligned to what we do from the management of our sustainability strategy, and ensures that each step forward is also recorded.
For us, this result is not a final step. This evaluation shows us improvement opportunities and suggests different action plans that we will analyze to identify which ones we can implement and how we can continue strengthening our performance in each theme that they score.
Our internal alignment work continues. We want to continue closing gaps and have all the work we do from our sustainability strategy reflected on future evaluations.
In our Corporate Sustainability Director, Luisa Ribero’s, words:
“The result was better compared to our last evaluation, and that’s why we are very satisfied with the in-depth work we’ve done to close the gaps and seek constant improvement. We have even less opportunities to continue increasing our score and continue working to achieve this, and having the score reflect all the work we do through our sustainable innovation strategy at Grupo Plastilene”
We are happy to receive the Committed Badge since it recognizes the journey we’ve been on, but also reminds us that we still have room for improvement.
We will continue working on strengthening our processes, align our efforts, and move towards the standards of each evaluated category.
Because measuring what we do also allows us to understand how much we’ve improved, and what we can continue doing better on.
