Continuously moving forward with our Innovation Management program at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. In this journey, one of our biggest challenges and opportunities has been identifying strategic partners that allow us to grow, share knowledge, and increase our capabilities.
With this goal in mind, this week we visited two academic institutions that promote innovation: the University of el Rosario and the University of La Sabana.
At the University of el Rosario we got to know the UR-STEAM Lab Based Campus. This space is designed to connect the manufacturing world with researchers and students. This is where they build, create, and design, based on new knowledge.
We explored how they use neuromarketing tools to inspire innovation processes, as well as their prototyping labs and multidisciplinary equipment that work alongside companies to design products and processes.

Afterwards, we went to an event that highlighted their work with companies such as Google, Grupo Bolívar – Davivienda, Oracle, Eatable Aventures, and the Government of Cundinamarca at the University of La Sabana. This is part of their open innovation ecosystem, and includes their Living Lab, which is an innovative space that uses real life scenarios and integrates an applied investigation model, as well as prototyping, and 3D printing. Finally we had the opportunity to be part of an immersive experience at their augmented reality room, as an example of the potential that we have to co-create solutions alongside academic institutions.
These experiences allow us to identify valuable connection points alongside researchers, where knowledge gets transformed into action. We see these alliances as an opportunity to enact new ideas, enrich our projects with new perspectives, and have added capabilities that can showcase our potential. More than having a relationship with these institutions, we see the potential of creating dynamic relationships that keep innovation alive.
